Hi my name is Nikki ! For over fifteen years I've been designing and developing marine models, ready-to-run model railway products, accessories and specialist kits. I have also designed and developed many kits and stand alone products of various subjects from our small office in Yorkshire !
Working from the best source materials, I combine traditional and modern production methods with innovative design, carefully selected materials and a range of manufacturing techniques to turn ideas into real products. Whether you already have a product in mind or simply an idea you’d like to explore, I can work with you throughout the journey — from initial concept and research through design, development and ultimately manufacture.

We can also provide a complete research service, either as a standalone package or as the starting point for a larger development project.
For clients looking for a complete solution, we can take a project from that first spark of an idea right through to something ready to take to market. This can include research, design and development, production files, manufacturing guidance and even packaging options.
Whether you arrive with a finished concept or simply an idea scribbled on a piece of paper, we can help you explore what’s possible and find the right way to bring it to life.
Research
Research is carried out by Keith, who has access to an extensive range of private and public collections, including drawings, photographs, books and historical material.
Where required, we can also carry out detailed on-site surveys, gathering the measurements, photographs and information needed to accurately capture the original subject.
This research can then be transformed into detailed 2D drawings and comprehensive digital reference collections, providing a strong and accurate foundation for the design process.
Design
Nikki carries out the majority of our design work, combining technical knowledge with creativity, experience and an eye for detail.
Our aim is to capture the character and accuracy of the original subject while creating a design that can be manufactured efficiently and reliably. We provide renders and artwork as part of the package and comprehensive instructions for the factory and customer.
Where a project requires specialist knowledge, such as complex electronics, we work with trusted external partners to find the best solution for your product.
Development
Great products rarely happen on the first attempt, which is why development and testing are such an important part of what we do.
New ideas, materials, components and systems can be carefully tested and refined before becoming part of the final design. This allows us to identify potential issues early and make improvements before the product reaches manufacture.
Where required, we can also evaluate and test pre-production samples, helping to ensure the finished products will always meet the standards we — and you — expect.
